Fishing boat crashes into ship, fisherman missing

Mangalore, Feb 14: King Fish, a deep sea fishing boat belonging to Mumtaz, crashed into a foreign ship recently.

Five members of the crew have been rescued, but Palani Swami, one of the fishermen, is still reported missing. His wife Echalavadi (28), three children Divya (5), Ranjith (8), and Rajesh (3) and his father have arrived from Salem in Tamil Nadu to hunt for his body.

The owner of the King Fish is also searching for the missing fisherman with little success.

The Mangalore and Kasargod police are not sure which of them should search for Palani as he was reported missing from the Mangalore-Kasargod coast.
