Fishing boat capsizes near Padukere; all fishermen safe

Kundapur, May 25, 2023: A fishing boat capsized near Parampalli Padukere after it hit a sand dune due to strong winds and a fishing net got caught in the fan of the boat.

 

The capsized boat named Sri Durgaparameshwari Rukmayya is owned by Sandeep Tolar of Bengre. Though people from nearby boats rushed for help that could not prevent the boat from capsizing.

However all workers on the ill-fated boat were rescued. Meanwhile the capsize has incurred loss of nearly Rs 12 lakhs.
