Fishing ban in coastal districts from June 1

Mangaluru, May 31, 2024: The 61-day annual fishing ban will be in effect in the coastal belt from June 1 till July 31.

 

The main objective of banning fishing is to protect fish wealth during the breeding season and to prevent fishing of juvenile fish.
