Fisherman survives from drowning by clinging to the net all night

Mangalore, Feb 2, 2012 :A fisherman who had gone deep sea fishing accidently fell into the sea, but saved himself by clinging to the fishing net all night.

Gopal of Boloor – Bokkapattana works on Jala Mayura, a mechanized fishing vessel. When deep sea fishing, he fell into the water at a distance of 30 nautical miles from the shore. His co-workers realized that he was missing only after sometime.

When the other workers realized that Gopal was missing, they began searching for him, but were unable to locate him.

Reportedly, Gopal had continued swimming for some time, spotted a ray of light falling on a fishing net spread by another fishing vessel, and clung on it throughout the night.

When the fishermen of that boat pulled up their net, they spotted him and rescued him.
