Firm which dumped bags of charcoal powder slapped penalty

Mangaluru, Sep 16, 2023: The Mangaluru City Corporation officials have slapped a penalty of Rs 10,000 on a company which had dumped huge quantity of gunny bags containing charcoal powder on the roadside at Meenakaliya near Baikampady.

 

The MCC officials of Suratkal division rushed to the spot following complaints from the public and ensured that the firm which had dumped the gunny bags itself cleared the place of the bags.

Suratkal Divisional Commissioner Vani Alva, Health officials of MCC and others were part of the operation.
