Fire near RTO office guts petty shop

 Mangalore, Jan 27, 2014 : A petty shop near the Regional Transport Office in the city was gutted in a fire mishap on January 27, Monday.

It is learnt that  the fire that was lit in the area to burn some dried-up leaves, soon spread to the nearby area due to the strong breeze. The cable wires too were destroyed and in no time even the petty shop was engulfed in flames.

 

Though the Fire service  station which is located nearby was informed, the  fire tender vehicles took quite a long time to arrive at the place.

The extent of loss of property is yet to be known.
