Fifty children receive Sacrament of Confirmation at Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Oct 14, 2025: Our Lady of Miracles Church, Milagres, Mangaluru, witnessed a joyous and spiritually enriching Pentecostal celebration as fifty children received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The ceremony was presided over by Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha, who was warmly welcomed by the children. Addressing the young candidates, the Bishop spoke about the importance and spiritual significance of the sacrament, encouraging them to grow in faith and commitment.

The Holy Eucharist was concelebrated by the Bishop along with the parish clergy. Mr. Sylvester Mascarenhas and Mrs. Ida Crasta served as godparents for the occasion.

As part of the celebration, each child was presented with a copy of the Holy Bible, accompanied by a meaningful message urging them to read one chapter daily and deepen their understanding of the Word of God.

The parish community congratulated the children and their families, marking a memorable step in their spiritual journey.
