
Mangaluru, October 27, 2025: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced that anyone who makes provocative or hate-filled speeches intended to divide society, spread hatred, or disturb peace will face legal action.
Speaking to the media at Mangaluru Airport today, he said that a case (FIR) will be filed against those who deliver hate speeches. Referring to the speech made by Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, the Chief Minister stated that action will be taken as he made derogatory remarks about women in his address.
SIT Report:
Responding to a question from the media about the submission of the SIT report in the Dharmasthala case, Siddaramaiah said the government will not interfere in the SIT’s investigation. He added that, according to the Home Minister, the SIT is expected to submit its report by the end of this month.
Vehicle Facilities for Information Department:
When asked about providing vehicles for the Department of Information and Public Relations, the Chief Minister said the government will consider the request and examine the possibility of providing vehicles for the convenience of journalists.
High Command Will Take Final Decision:
Commenting on statements by some ministers about a possible change in the Chief Minister’s position, Siddaramaiah said that in a democracy, everyone has the right to aspire for the post of Chief Minister. However, the final decision rests with the party’s high command. “Even my continuation as Chief Minister will depend on the high command’s decision,” he added.
