Expert PU College to host ‘Xcelerate 2025’ Inter-School Science Fest on Oct

Mangaluru, Aug 14, 2025: Expert Pre-University College, Kodialbail, under the aegis of the Expert Group of Institutions, will host Xcelerate 2025, an Inter-School Science Xtravaganza aimed at sparking scientific curiosity and creativity among high school students. The event is scheduled for October 18, 2025, and is open to students from Classes 8, 9, and 10 across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

The fest, designed to promote interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), will feature engaging competitions, hands-on activities, and interactive sessions. Students will have opportunities to showcase innovation, build practical skills, and exchange ideas with peers and educators.

 

 

The programme will include four categories:

⮚ X-Quizit (Science Quiz): A quiz in science and mathematics to test knowledge and analytical skills.

⮚ X-IgnAIte (AI Workshop): A session on artificial intelligence and prompt engineering, ending with a web application development contest.

⮚ X-Zibit (Model Making): A model-making competition judged on innovation, accuracy, and presentation.

⮚ X-Sight (Interactive Demos): Demonstrations and Q&A sessions with Expert faculty.

Each school can nominate eight students, forming four teams of two members each, with one team per category. All participants will receive certificates, while winners will earn first and second prizes. The school with the highest cumulative score will claim the Overall Championship Trophy.

Schools can register online at xcelerate.expertedu.co.in by September 20, 2025. Only registered teams will be eligible to participate.

Speaking at a press conference, Prof. Narendra L Nayak, Chairman of Expert Group of Institutions, highlighted the college’s tradition of academic excellence and extracurricular achievements. He was joined by Vice Chairperson Dr. Ushaprabha N Nayak, Director of IT Mr. Ankush N Nayak, Principal Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, and Assistant Programme Director Ms. B Rakshitha Prabhu.
