Expert PU College students secure 852 medical and dental seats in NEET UG 2026 counselling

Mangaluru, Sep 24, 2026: Students of Expert PU College, Mangaluru, have secured 852 medical and dental seats in the second round of NEET UG 2026 counselling, with 763 students securing MBBS seats and 89 gaining admission to BDS programmes.

The results announced by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the second round of seat allotment highlighted the strong performance of the college students.

Among the students, 13 secured seats at AIIMS, two at JIPMER, three at AFMC Pune and 25 at Bengaluru Medical College and Research Institute (BMC).

Of the 763 students who secured MBBS seats, 520 obtained seats under the government quota, while 221 secured seats under the private quota. Another 18 students secured seats under the management quota and four through the NRI quota.

A total of 632 students secured MBBS seats through KEA counselling, while 131 obtained seats through the All India-level MCC counselling process.

Students also secured admission to several prominent medical institutions across the country, including various AIIMS campuses, JIPMER, AFMC Pune, BMC and other reputed institutions.

89 students secure BDS seats

The students also recorded notable results in dental admissions. Eighty-nine students secured BDS seats, with 70 gaining admission through KEA and 19 through the All India quota.

The college said more students are expected to secure admission to reputed medical and dental institutions in the upcoming counselling rounds.

Expert PU College President Prof. Narendra L. Nayak said the achievement was significant given the intense competition in NEET, the national-level medical entrance examination.

He said the success of the college’s students in securing seats at prestigious medical and dental institutions has added another milestone to the institution’s academic achievements.
