Expert PU College celebrates Onam with Pookalam, Thiruvathira dance

Mangaluru, Aug 26, 2026: Expert Pre-University College, Kodialbail, celebrated Onam with enthusiasm, highlighting the festival’s message of equality, happiness and unity. Popularly known as ‘Suggi Habba’, the festival was marked by colourful cultural activities on the college campus.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr Usha Prabha N Nayak, Vice-President of Expert Education Institutions, by lighting the traditional lamp.

As part of the celebrations, students created a vibrant Pookalam, a traditional floral carpet. Dressed in traditional Kerala attire, they also performed the Thiruvathira dance around the Pookalam, adding colour and festive spirit to the occasion.

College Principal Prof. Ramachandra Bhat, members of the teaching staff and others were present.
