Ex-lady officer of Kollur shrine enters restricted area of Laxmi Mantapa; video viral

Udupi, Oct 18, 2018: The management of Kollur Shree Mookambika Temple has drawn flak for allowing  T R Uma, a former executive manager of the temple into the Laxmi Mantapa of the shrine which is a restricted area. The CCTV footage that shows Uma entering the restricted area has gone viral.

 

It has been gathered that the Deputy Commissioner has promised investigation into the issue.

Incidentally, irregularities were reported in the famous shrine when Uma was holding office there. During her tenure jewels from the temple locker were pledged in co-operative banks. A temple staff Shivarama Madiwala was also arrested in this connection.
