Ex-director of Toddy Tappers Society dies after fall from coconut tree

Mangaluru, Jan 23, 2024: A former director of Konaje Toddy Tappers Society  died as he slipped and fell from a coconut tree  at Somanatha Uliya on January 23, Tuesday morning.

 

The deceased is Vishwambaran (58) of Santoshnagar. He hailed from Dharmasthala. As usual, he had climbed the coconut tree near a house at Somanatha Uliya for tapping when he fell down and died. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.

He had resigned as director of the Konaje Toddy Tappers Society just three months ago.

Ullal police have registered a case.
