Escapee convict on parole arrested in Kerala

Bantwal, Oct 12, 2013: Bantwal police have arrested a  prisoner on life term who had escaped while on parole.

The arrested man is Isubu alias Yusuf Musliyar, a resident of Melkar-Rangelu. He was arrested at Malappuram in Kerala with the help of the Kerala police.

Isubu was undergoing a  life imprisonment  for killing his  second wife Mariamma in  2005 and then dumping her body to the Phalguni river in Gurupura.

The Mangalore Sessions  Court had  convicted him. He who was serving jail at Belgaum prison  was out on a 45 day parole on  the grounds of ill-health of his mother.

 

But, instead of returning to jail on September 4 he had gone missing. He was arrested at Malappuram  based on a tip off.
