Engineer dies in mishap at KIOCL ore pelletization plant

Mangalore, Dec 17, 2012: An engineer lost his life and four other employees sustained minor injuries  in a mishap that took place at the iron ore pelletization plant of the Kudremukh Iron Ore Company(KIOCL) at Kulur on December 16,Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Mohan Kumar (38). It is learnt, the mishap took place while Mohan was supervising the cleaning works of  the cylinder of a silo meant for storing iron ore. Reports said the stored ore came crashing down  all of a sudden on Mohan Kumar who was below. Though Mohan who sustained  grievous injuries in his head was immediately shifted to the hospital, he breathed his last there
