Election duty staff leave for respective polling booths

Mangalore, May 4, 2013: Election  duty staff, BSF and Para Military Force personnel deputed on poll duty  left for the respective polling booths  in various places of the district on May 4, Saturday evening.


Election duty staff deputed in Mangalore are mostly outsiders while Mangalorean  election staff have been deputed to other places.  The staff left for their respective booths from the  Gokarnanatheshwara, Canara and Ramakrishna Colleges  in Mangalore.

A total of 900 officers has been appointed for election booths in Mangalore. Each booth will have a PRO,  APRO. PO and Assistant PO, apart from an observer.


The  Poll Returning Officer is entitled for an honorarium of Rs 1000, the APRO Rs 700 and Returning Officer Rs 700. A senior official informed that all arrangements have been made for the convenience of the election duty staff.
