Eid-ul-Fitr on Mar 20: Holiday declared in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 20: Following the sighting of the moon on Thursday, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. In this regard, a general holiday has been declared across both districts.

Based on the moon sighting, Deputy Commissioners H.V. Darshan of Dakshina Kannada and Swaroop T.K. of Udupi have issued orders declaring March 20 as a public holiday in their respective districts.
