Duo arrested for assaulting cops

Mangaluru, Jan 22, 2022: Police have arrested two persons on the charges of assaulting two police personnel while they were returning home after their duty.

 

Those arrested are Maxim Joseph Noronha (54) and Danny Paul (39).  It was alleged that the two had assaulted police personnel Beerendra S Meti and Shivananda D T  at Yeyyadi Junction while they were returning home on January 18 night. The accused who came by a car, had waylaid the two cops who were on their bike,  snatched the keys and then abused and attacked them.

A complaint was lodged in this regard at Kadri East Police Station.
