Drunken tempo driver creates panicky moments; 2 bikes damaged

Udupi, Jan 27, 2023: A drunken driver of a goods tempo created panicky moments  at Beedinagudde on Thursday night when he literally ran amok his vehicle in the process damaging two motorbikes and making pedestrians run helter-skelter.

 

The driver Dinesh of Kukkikatte was heading towards Diana Circle from Beedinagudde when  his vehicle rammed into a bike resulting in an altercation between him and the driver. It is learnt the bike rider slapped Dinesh who was infuriated and reversed his tempo in a bid  to mow down the bike. The bike rider and pillion rider managed to escape by jumping off the vehicle. The tempo even damaged another bike. Later the Udupi police who arrived took Dinesh into custody.
