Drugs trafficking: CCB cops arrest 3 in separate cases

Mangaluru, Jan 09, 2023: CCB police of Mangaluru have arrested  three persons in three separate cases of drugs trafficking.

In the first case  in an operation at Kuttikala of Neermarga the cops have arrested Kiran Raj Shetty (24) of Kasargod and have seized 27.100 kg of ganja, a car and a mobile phone, all worth Rs 9,88,500. It has been gathered that he was transporting ganja from Vishakapatnam to Mangaluru and Kerala.

 

In the second case, the police who raided a flat on Bunts Hostel Road and have arrested a non-resident Indian named Neel Kishorilal Ram Ji Shah (38) and have seized 2 kg ganja worth Rs 50,000 from him. Two mobile phones, cash of Rs 7000 and a ditigal weighing machine have been seized.

The raid followed a tip off that  ganja was being sold to students and public in Bunts Hostel area.

In the third case, one person was arrested for trying to sell MDMA synthetic drug in Mudipu. The arrested person is Nawaz alias Mudipu Nawaz (35) of Mudipu.  Police seized MDMA weighing 15 gram and valued at Rs 75000 from him. Two mobile phones, digital weighing machine and a bike and cash of Rs 3200 has been seized from him.

The accused is facing as many as 11 cases including assault, murder attempt and dacoity cases.
