Driver dies as auto overturns in bid to avoid hitting cow

Bantwal, June 14, 2023: An autorickshaw driver lost his life after he lost control over his vehicle in a bid to avoid hitting a cow on the road at Manila on June 13, Tuesday.

 

The deceased is Jagannatha Pai Sari (57). He was on way to the auto stand at Punacha when the mishap took place. The autorickshaw had overturned and Pai was thrown out of the vehicle. He had sustained serious head injuries and died before being admitted to hospital.

The deceased Jagannatha, who was well-known in the area as Jagganna also used to don comedy roles in Tulu plays.
