Driver, conductor arrested for abusing lady passenger

Mangaluru, Oct 14, 2023: Police have arrested the driver and conductor of a bus in connection with the recent incident of abusing a lady lawyer from Derlakatte while she was boarding the bus.

 

Those arrested are Bharath Salian and Shivakumar. They are the driver and conductor of the Route No. 19 bus named Ashel. The woman Mufida Rehman from Derlakatte had complained that the bus had moved in a haste as she was boarding it and that the conductor who had pulled her inside had abused her.

Both the driver and conductor were arrested on Friday and produced before the court which has remanded them to judicial custody.
