Mangaluru, June 4, 2025: Police who have conducted a drive against tinted glasses in vehicles have so far registered 223 cases against vehicle owners and drivers and have collected a fine of Rs 1,11,500.
Along with imposing penalty, the police have removed the tinted films and stickers in the vehicles and warned the drivers and owners against having tinted films on their vehicle glasses.
On June 3, the police also conducted a meeting with the owners of car showrooms, vehicle spare parts shops, garages and sticker outlet owners to discuss the issue. They were apprised of the Supreme Court directive against having tinted films on car glasses and were instructed against offering services to provide tinted films to car windows.
