Set in the coastal town of Honnavara, Karnataka, Peacock, Python and Esther delves into the lives of three characters who symbolically represent vanity, survival, and transformation. The narrative follows a young woman’s journey through love, loss, and identity as she navigates the tensions between tradition and modernity. The story explores universal human experiences, particularly in the context of patriarchy, self-discovery, and emotional healing.

Dr. Zita Lobo holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Mumbai University and has served in academic and administrative roles across India and the UAE. Her earlier publications include educational textbooks, a collection of short stories titled Kamaraband, and Medico English Made Easy, a guide for students of medical and health sciences. With this novel, she ventures into fiction that blends personal insight with wider social commentary.

The launch event, hosted by ISTD Mangaluru/Udupi Chapter, is positioned not only as a book release but also as a platform for literary dialogue. The organisers aim to foster a deeper appreciation for contemporary writing and encourage discussion on topics such as identity, choice, and the often-unseen inner transformations of everyday lives.

The event is open to the public, and attendees can RSVP via WhatsApp at +91 89047 51701 or +91 99865 58534 by Sunday.
