Do not keep any file pending for more than 3 days : Sorake directs MCC staff

Mangalore, Sep 4, 2013 : State Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake paid a surprise visit to the Mangalore City Corporation office on September 3, Tuesday and interacted with the Corporation Commissioner nad other officials.

During his meeting, the Minister directed MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde to submit a report   within 15 days regarding the proposed Greater Mangalore Project aimed at   extending the limits of the MCC and also providing improved amenities.


The Minister pointed out that already  the local administrative bodies of Moodbidri and Ullal have agreed  to include their areas in MCC limits and directed the Commissioner to submit a report on the measures to be taken in this regard.

 He also visited the various departments and spoke to the staff and asked them to ensure steps to see that no file is kept pending for  more than three days.

On this occasion, officials brought to the notice of the minister the staff shortage. Reacting to  the same, the minister said a proposal has already been made and requisite staff would soon be appointed.

He also informed that the second phase KUDCEMP would soon be implemented in Mangalore, Kundapur, Udupi and Puttur. He said title deeds will be distributed to the poor who have constructed houses on government lands and are residing there for more than 15 years.
