Mangalore, April 25, 2013 : People who feel that none of the political parties are fit to rule the nation, should first try to know as to what other option the nation has before it, said JR Lobo, Congress candidate from Mangalore South constituency.
Addressing a programme organised by the District Legal Cell of the Congress here on April 24, Wednesday, he also urged the voters against refraining from voting and urged them to exercise their franchise. He further called upon the voters not to be averse to politics.
Kallige Taranath Shetty, Congress leader and former President of Mangalore Bar Council,who also spoke, said the BJP government had failed to fulfill the promises made to the electorate.
B Ibrahim, senior advocate and former MP, Purushottam Poojary, senior advocate and others were present.
Mariamma gives pleasant surprise KJP leader and former councilor Mariamma Thomas gave a pleasant surprise to those present by appearing at the function venue. She however clarified stating that she was still in the KJP but supported JR Lobo’s candidature.
At the same time, she aired her resentment by stating that the KJP had failed to take her into confidence while choosing candidates.
