Diyas on potholes to alert the elected representatives

Belthangady, Oct 27, 2022: In a novel protest against pothole filled roads, some like-minded youth of Laila village in Belthangady taluk, lit diyas on potholes  on the occasion of Deepavali to draw the attention of the authorities and elected representatives towards the pathetic state of the national highway near the Raghavendra Mutt in Laila village.

 

 

 

The protestors said this was a way to alert the authorities on the potholes dotting the roads as they otherwise turn a blind eye to the issue.

Youth Congress leaders Anil Pai, Prajwal Jain, social workers Naushad, Altaf and many others were part of this novel protest.
