District jail raided ; no drugs, cell phones found

Mangalore, July 31, 2013 : There was yet another raid on the District Jail in Mangalore on July 30, Tuesday by a  police team led by Mysore DIG(Prisons) Vishwanathaiah.  Surprisingly, this raid  did not detect  drugs or mobile phones except for some cash, razor blades and playing cards.

The raiding team included DCP KV Jagadish, ACP Kavitha, Manjunath, Raghava Padil and Ramachandra, Inspectors of Bunder, Kadri and Urva police stations respectively.

The team inspected both A and B blocks.

It is worth mentioning here that during every previous raid the police could find prohibited things like drugs, cell phones in the prison, but surprisingly not this time.
