District BJP to support nationwide bundh tomorrow

Mangalore, Sep 19, 2012: The district unit of the BJP has announced that it will support the nationwide bundh called for by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on September 20 against the UPA government’s move to hike diesel prices. 

District BJP President Padmanabha Kottary told reporters in the BJP office on September 18, Tuesday that prices of essential commodities will also rise because of the hike in diesel prices, adding that the UPA government has absolutely no control over oil companies. 

 

Criticizing the government’s decision to encourage foreign investment in the multi-brand retail sector, he said that the central government is giving an open invitation to foreign companies to establish their monopoly in India. 

He urged the public to support the bundh.
