District Administration initiates temporary measures to check sea erosion at Battappady

Mangaluru, June 13, 2023: The district administration has initiated temporary measures to prevent sea erosion in Battappady area of Uchila. Boulders are being dumped in the area to prevent the waves from causing damage.

 

The measure has been taken as per the instructions of DK District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao. JCBs and tippers are being used for the work.

It may be recalled here that Battappady is one of the worst hit areas during sea erosion.
