Diamonds worth Rs 1.69 crore seized from passenger at MIA

Mangaluru, May 28, 2023: Diamonds worth Rs 1.69 crores hidden in a pouch in the undergarments of a passenger who was travelling to Dubai, was seized at the Mangaluru International Airport by the customs officials.

The passenger was intercepted by CISF personnel on duty at the airport.

During the pre-embarkation security check, officials grew suspicious and on checking found the diamond hidden in the undergarment of the passenger in 2 pouches.

The man hailed from Kasargod.
