Speaking to the media before entering the SIT office, Purandara Gowda said, “I used to run a shop at the Netravati bathing ghat. While there, I witnessed bodies being buried. I think it might be the same person. I have seen more than one person together burying bodies. I saw bodies being buried at both the first location and the 13th location shown by the witness complainant.”

The other person stated that he had seen bodies being buried at locations other than those identified by the witness complainant, and that he would provide more details about this to the SIT.
