Dharmasthala case: Skeletal remains found during SIT search at Banglegudda

Belthangady, Sep 17, 2025: In connection with the Dharmasthala case, skeletons were reportedly found shortly after the Special Investigation Team (SIT) began a search operation in the Banglegudda forest area near the Netravati bathing ghat.

SIT officials launched the inspection at Banglegudda on Wednesday. The skeletal remains were discovered near the 11th spot earlier identified by a key witness in the case. The bones have been collected by the SIT for further investigation.

It is not yet clear whether this is the same spot mentioned by Sowjanya’s uncle, Vittal Gowda, who had earlier claimed that “several human remains were seen when I was taken for the spot mahazar.”

The SIT has continued its search deeper into the forest, and further details about the findings are awaited.
