Devadiga Bhavan resounds with delightful Carnatic music

Mangalore, Jan 14, 2012 : Young people from all over the country participated in the Carnatic music competition held as part of the National Youth Festival (NYF) in Devadiga Bhavan today.

 

A total of 9 young people participated in the Carnatic vocal solo category, presenting popular ragas, filling the venue with melody, and thrilling the audience.

The audience comprised mostly school children along with a few music lovers.

The Hindusthan vocal competition was held in the same venue in the afternoon and the competition was quite stiff with a large number of participants performing for the first place.
