Derogatory post against Prophet : Accused remanded to custody

Sullia, Nov 17, 2021: A man from Aivarnadu in Sullia who was arrested on the charges of making defamatory remarks against the Prophet in Facebook, has been produced before a court in Sullia on November 15 and has been remanded to judicial custody for 15 days. The arrested person is  Jagadish Kaivaltadka.

 

It may be recalled here that the Sullia Taluk Muslim Okkoota had recently submitted a memorandum to the SP seeking early arrest of the culprit.

The complaint regarding the derogatory post was lodged by different organisations a few days ago.
