Denied pocket money by parents, student ends life

Mangaluru, Aug 03, 2023: A 17 year old boy from Kuthar Subhashnagar has committed suicide by hanging himself at his home on August 3, Thursday as he was reportedly dejected after his parents failed to provide him pocket money on the first day of his diploma course at KPT Mangaluru.

 

The deceased is Sushanth, son of Bhasker Poojary and Dakshayini couple. Sushanth who had completed his PUC at Capitanio College was admitted to KPT to pursue mechanical diploma course.

It is learnt as his parents did not give him Rs 500 he stayed back at home. Later when his father was away and mother was in the kitchen he hanged himself.
Ullal Police have registered a case.
