Demonetized notes worth Rs 43.5 lakhs seized ; One person arrested

Kasargod, Feb 18, 2020:  Demonetized currency of Rs 500 face value  worth Rs 43.50 lakhs has  been seized from a resident of Perla, Ukkinadka on February 18, Tuesday.   The accused has been identified as Mohammad (60). A Swift car has also been seized from him.

 

Meanwhile, two other accused  have reportedly escaped in another car. The other car was reportedly used as an escort to the car in which currency was being transported.

Police  have launched a search to arrest the absconding accused.
