Decomposed body found on Mukka beach; murder suspected

Mangalore, Sep 23, 2013 :  The decomposed body of an unidentified person has been found on the sea shores at Mukka. Locals meanwhile have a strong suspicion that  the person was murdered elsewhere and the body dumped on the shore.

Though Suratkal police are in a haste to close the file by terming it as an unnatural death, locals have been arguing that this is a murder. The body was found naked and locals say there should have been clothes on the body had the person committed suicide. Moreover even the tongue of the person was found protruding and it is argued that it would not be the case had he drowned.

Locals who had seen the body also say the face was found crushed possibly with some heavy object.

There is also a growing demand to probe the case thoroughly.
