Mangalore, Dec 14, 2013: Babi Gowda (48) father of deceased Dinesh Gowda (23), resident of Kangathilu in Koyooru village claimed that Dinesh’s death was not due to accident but was planned murdered.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on Dec 14, Saturday, he said that Balakrishna Poojary, officer at Agricultural department had purposely rammed his Bolero to Dinesh’s bike near Gerukatte.
Babi Gowda said that his brother Sidappa Gowda along with Shyam Sundar took him to the police station and forced me to register an accident complaint for Dinesh’s death. Since my mind was not in a proper state, I had to listen to what they said. But now I feel that it was a planned murder by the Balakrishna Poojary, supporter of Dharmasthala Dharmadikari, who had turned the entire case into road accident.
Victim’s father also said that two days before the incident, Dinesh had spoken to his mother of having threat from the supporters of Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala.
Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, President of Prajaprabhuthva Vedike said that undoubtedly, Dinesh’s death was murder since his bike was found on one side, while his body was another side of the spot.
He also said that two persons namely Prakash and Sukesh Jain who are charged with two murder cases had reached the spot within 15 minutes after the incident. This gives the clear picture of murder, he said.
The Hegde family has also called Dinesh’s parents and asked to release their son’s bike from station after taking back the compliant. They had even deposited the amount of Rs 40,000 in their account to remain silent in the case. There is still Rs 30,000 in the bank and has spent Rs 10,000, he added.
Thimarodi also said that, although the people have staged so many protests, the Government is not ready to handover Sowjanya rape and murder case to CBI probe. Hence he urged the government to conduct the CBI probe into all the 426 unnatural deaths took place in Ujire and Belthangady area under the surveillance of Supreme Court, he said.
