Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu receive intermittent rain

Mangaluru, Jul 20, 2026: Parts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu witnessed intermittent spells of rain on Sunday.

Several areas of Dakshina Kannada experienced on-and-off moderate to heavy showers throughout the day, while Mangaluru received a sharp spell of rain in the evening. The district recorded an average rainfall of 28 mm in the 24 hours ending at 8 am on Sunday.

Udupi district saw brief spells of light to moderate rain and registered an average rainfall of 23 mm, which is 55% below normal.

In Kodagu district, Madikeri city and parts of the taluk continued to receive intermittent rain for the third consecutive day.
