Dacoits barge into PWD contractor’s house at Ulaibettu; loot cash, jewels at knife point

Mangaluru, June 22, 2024: A gang of dacoits which barged into the residence of a PWD contractor at Ulaibettu in Mangaluru Rural Police Station limits, have decamped with cash and valuables after tying down the occupants of the house.

The dacoity took place in the house of Padmanabha Kotian at around 8 pm. A group of eight to nine masked men wielded knife at the occupants of the house, tied down their hands and legs using bedsheets and ransacked the house. They decamped with cash and valuables and even escaped with the vehicle of the house owner. The vehicle was found abandoned a little away from the house.

Padmanabh’s hand has been injured in the knife attack.

A case has been registered in Kankanady Rural Police Station limits. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused.
