DYFI, SFI stage protest ; demand immediate release of Disha Ravi

Mangaluru, Feb 17, 2021:     The DYFI  and SFI staged a protest  in front of the Mini Vidhana Saudha in Mangaluru on February 16, Tuesday to condemn the arrest of climate activist Disha Ravi in connection with the tool kit relating to farmers’ protest and demanded her immediate release.

Addressing the protestors, Santosh Bajal, District Secretary of DYFI said the   practice of filing police cases against those who raise voice against the ’anti-people’ policies of the Narendra Modi government has been on the rise.  He said the DYFI activists will take to the streets against this injustice.

Mangaluru city unit DYFI President Naveen Konchady, Prameela Devadiga, Asuntha D’Souza, Ashraf K C Road and others took part in the protest.
