DRI officials arrests eight passengers for smuggling 1035 packets of cigarettes

Mangalore, Oct 5, 2013: The Mangalore branch officials of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrested eight passengers for illegally carrying 1035 packets of cigarettes worth lakhs at Mangalore International Airport on October 5, Saturday.

According to the sources, the arrested hail from Kasargod, but their personal identities are not yet revealed.

The officials caught the smugglers as they landed from Dubai by Air India flight and siezed 1000 packets of cigarettes on Saturday morning.
