DK police arrest associates of Isubu

Mangalore, December 12: The DK police have arrested two associates of Madoor Yusuf alias Madoor Isubu, who is currently in DK police custody.

The recently arrested are Mohammed Iqbal of Jokatte and Altaf Sharif Hussain of Talapady. While Iqbal has been arrested with regard to the Bantwal jewelry robbery shoot out case and other cases in which he threatened people under Isubu’s commands, Altaf has been arrested for funding the murder of Sukhananda Shetty. He provided Rs. 2.5 lakh to purchase the vehicle used to murder Shetty, but also collected Rs. 7 lakh of the Rs. 30 lakh supari money required for the murder.

The two have been produced at the Suratkal and Bantwal courts respectively.
