DK Sunni Yuvajana Sangha plans to hold mass marriage ceremony

Mangalore, Jul 18, 2013: DK District Sunni Yuvajana Sangha will  organize a free mass marriage ceremony for 25 Muslim couples in December.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on July 18, Thursday, Abdul Lateef,Secretary of the Sangha  said that the committee will hold various religious and social programmes for a period of one  year as a part of publicity campaign for the upcoming 60th annual and historical convention to be held in December. The programmes aim at creating awareness among the Muslim youth against Dowry system in community, he said.

Apart from it, the committee will hold mass marriage for 25 couples under the leadership of DK District Qazi Shaikhuna Twaka Ahmed Musliyar. The committee will also gift 10 sovereigns gold to each couple and will also meet the expenditure of the marriage ceremony. He requested interested Muslim couples to  submit the application before October 31  at the Sangha offices at Mangalore and Moodbidri.

Association members KL Umar Darimi Pattori, Haji Riyazuddin Bunder, Shahul Hameed and M S Abdul Khader were present.
