DK MP Capt Brijesh Chowta represents India at UN General Assembly

Mangaluru, Oct 11, 2025: Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta is representing India at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) being held in New York, USA, from October 8 to 14.

Addressing the global forum, Capt Chowta highlighted India’s achievements and its unwavering commitment to sustainable development. Speaking on the theme “Five Years to 2030 – Multilateral Solutions for Sustainable Development,” he stressed that realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires strong international cooperation and stable resource frameworks.

He reaffirmed India’s continued support for least developed and landlocked developing nations, emphasizing the country’s focus on strengthening global partnerships through South-South cooperation.

The Indian delegation, led by PP Chaudhary, includes Members of Parliament from various political parties, such as Anil Baluni, Dr Nishikant Dubey, Ujjwal Nikam, S Phangnon Konyak, Dr Medha Vishram Kulkarni, Poonamben Maadam, Vamsi Krishna Gaddam, Vivek Tankha, Dr T Sumathi, N K Premachandran, Kumari Selja, Matukumilli Sri Bharat, and Rajiv Rai.
