Mangaluru, September 24, 2025: The Dakshina Kannada Automobile & Tyre Dealers’ Association honoured industry stalwart Belady Srikanth Kamath (80), with the Lifetime Achievement Award at its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the St. Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Auditorium, Bendur.
After completing his graduation in 1969, B. Srikanth Kamath joined his family business, U. Subraya Nayak, a firm founded by his grandfather in 1934, then a dealer for Royal Enfield motorcycles. When the Enfield dealership succumbed to stiff competition from new-generation Japanese two-wheelers in 1985, he continued to serve customers through spare parts and service—a commitment that continues to this day. He also served as Treasurer of the Dakshina Kannada Automobile & Tyre Dealers’ Association for many years.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by Association Vice President Harsha Kumar Kedige, along with other office bearers. “Today, at the age of 80, Sri Kamath continues to actively manage the firm founded by his grandfather. This highlights his enduring commitment to his customers and to the automobile industry,” noted the citation read by Secretary K. Vilas Kumar. Joint Secretary Athmika Amin, Treasurer Maroor Shashidhar Pai, Joint Treasurer K. Laxminarayan Nayak, Special Invitee T. Ratnakar Pai, managing committee member Prasanna K. R. and Manager Ramdas Pai were present.
