DK Automobile & Tyre Dealers’ Association Confers ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’

Mangaluru, Sep 23, 2019: Dakshina Kannada Automobile & Tyre Dealers’ Association has conferred its annual Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2019 on Sri Aroor Prabhakar Rao, Managing Director of The United Trading Corporation & Workshop Pvt. Ltd. and Chairman of United Cars (P) Ltd. The Award has given during Auto Sangam Annual Get-together and 35th Annual General Meeting of the Association which was held on Sunday, 22nd September 2019 at Centenary Hall of Pompeii Church, Lady Hill Circle, Mangalore.

 

Sri Kasturi Prabhakar Pai, President of the Association handed over a citation, shawl and fruits to Sri Aroor Prabhakar Rao in the presence of other association office bearers. The award is given for his extraordinary contribution to the automobile trade in the region. “Through his dynamism and hard work, Sri Aroor Prabhakar Rao has been instrumental in sustaining business growth through three generations,” the citation said.

During the last nine years, the association has been felicitating the children of both members and members’ employees during the annual get together following the Annual General Meeting. This year 16 students were felicitated with certificates and cash awards for their extraordinary academic performance in SSLC and PUC examinations.

Association President Shri Kasturi Prabhakar Pai welcomed the gathering. Secretary Sri K. Vilas Kumar presented the annual report of the association. Treasurer Sri Maroor Shashidhar Pai presented the financial accounts of the Association. Patron Sri K. G. Shenoy conducted the elections for the managing committee for the year 2019-20. Smt. Manaswitha Rao proposed vote of thanks.

AGM was followed by cultural programme and family get-together which was compered by Sri Preetham Kumar Nayak.
