DJ Suraj Bolar emerges victorious in regional Mirchi Folkmix

Mangalore, Oct 4: The Mangalore-born Suraj Bolar, one of the best DJ’s in the country, has won the regional round of Mirchi Folkmix, the biggest DJ hunt in India, with his entry Kadu Kudure. 

        

This round was organized at Sutra – The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. The other finalists were Rakshith and Chetan. 

DJ Suraj is one of the 12 finalists of the national competition, who were selected to perform live at the grand finale held in Pune and at the Glam and Jam Night in Mumbai. Some of the top Bollywood celebrities such as Dia Mirza and DJs such as Cyrus witnessed the event. 

The competition permits the mixing of club and folk music, requiring participants to download a folk song from the Mirchi Folkmix website and remix it with the folk music of their state and send it to their local Radio Mirchi station. The best 3 remixes were selected in the regional rounds.
