DCMangalore, November 3, 2010: DC Subodh Yadav requested the public’s cooperation to implement the Supreme Court’s decision regarding illegal religious structures peacefully, terming it as “helpful and advantageous” to the public. He was addressing revenue officers during a meeting held in his office on Wednesday.

Urging the revenue officers to convince people about the benefits of people friendly and developmental projects, he said that proper information should be released to the public so that development work can be launched without problems. He also explained how the demolition of illegal religious structures should be done in all the taluks, according to the order of the Supreme Court.

Voicing his opinion that illegal religious structures can be easily evacuated and demolished if people were made to understand the problems they create by being on public roads, he urged concerned officials to meet religious heads in each taluk and bloc to facilitate the demolition drive.

The DC expressed his opinion that people will surely cooperate with the district administration to demolish illegal religious structures if they understand the problems they pose to the development of major public roads.
